Faberge's Garden

Australian Wearable Art Festival 2024 - Avant Garde

Faberge's Secret Garden celebrates the inner child, inspired by fairy tales and an endless imagination as well as the craft and origins of Faberge Eggs. Starting as a hand-painted ornate egg form, the dress transforms on the runway with the pull of a pink satin ribbon, to reveal a hidden, fairy-like character.

As you get closer to the garment, more fairy-like details are revealed, mushrooms and baby fairies sit upon spongey moss amongst the flowers. Made entirely from upcycled materials.

Coffee Queen

Australian Wearable Art Festival 2023 - Trashion

Coffee Queen is a celebration of recycling processes and programs that have been implemented by leading brands, encouraging consumers to re-think their purchasing habits and the life of products after their intended use. Using mostly coffee pod capsules, the gown and crown were created through manipulating the capsules' form

into new textures and shapes in a decorative way. I collected

coffee pods from my own use, as well as from work, family and

friends. The leftover coffee grounds were used in compost for my own garden, and then the aluminium shells were used to create my

piece. Coffee Queen is a work of wearable art, made from

everyday trash, but also has the ability to be recycled itself.

Breakfast at Tiffany's Collaborative Photoshoot

This was a collaborative project working with local WA creatives. I directed the photoshoot and created the gown inspired by Audrey Hepburn's iconic look. It was a celebration of an icon and inspired by a modern take on the iconic film, Breakfast at Tiffany's.

International Student Design Competition 2022 Finalist

REINVENT explores the use of leather to promote slow and sustainable fashion. Inspired by modular design, the dress is customisable by the wearer, enabling it to be worn for multiple occasions. With all seams replaced with zips, it features insertable panels which can change the size of the dress, allowing the wearer to change the dress in accordance with the way their body changes in their lifetime. The hardware used allows the wearer to add different necklines, sleeves and other extensions to the dress, sparking their creativity and making the dress even more loveable.

The Kombucha Project 2020

Given the criteria of creating garments for future Martians, I grew and developed my own kombucha leather to create a Martian wedding dress which the wearer could grow and then let biodegrade back into soil, all with minimal impact on their environment.
